The 7K Run begins in in the historic Kenmore BoulevARTS District near the beautiful Rialto Theatre.
It heads east on Kenmore Boulevard to the south end of Summit Lake where it turns north and joins the new Towpath Trail Spur on the east shore of the lake.
From there the route circles the whole of the beautiful glacier made lake, (the only glacier lake on the Towpath in Summit County). On the way, runners will pass the brand new Summit Lake Nature Center, the Summit Community Center (where LeBron learned basketball) and the beautiful Summit Lake Baseball fields. Turning west along the north side of the lake you’ll run through a brief and beautiful area of woods in Summit Metro Parks, then turning south, head along the west side of the lake. Having circled the whole lake, you return once again to Kenmore boulevard, where you’ll have a slight up roller, leveling out, then heading into a slight downhill roller for the last seven blocks to the finish on Kenmore Boulevard, where you’ll receive your finisher medal and, while strolling musicians serenade you, enjoy organic coffee, tea and pastries courtesy of SRINA Cafe.

In 2017, Akron Promise started the process to implement direct programs for students at Kenmore-Garfield High School.
We would like to recognize Jim Gill for his design of the race logo and Matt Miller for his design of the Akron Promise Race Series Logo.
