Reentry in Motion: Expedited Pardon

The Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project is designed to speed up the process by which people may receive a pardon. The project was established in collaboration between Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, the Drug Enforcement and Policy Center  at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and the Reentry Clinic at The University of Akron School of Law.

In order to be considered for the pardon, the applicant must not have committed any additional crimes (excluding minor traffic citations) in at least the past 10 years. In addition, the individual must meet all requirements of sentencing, including the payment of fines. Accepted project applicants will receive individualized assistance to complete the full application. For  more information click on the workshop video: Expedited Pardon Project.
