Two of today’s most exciting operatic voices — soprano Jacqueline Echols and baritone Justin Austin — celebrate those who paved the way for black singers. Joined by a string quartet and Damien Sneed on piano, they’ll also weave in favorites by Handel, Puccini, Gershwin, Harry T. Burleigh (on Tuesday Musical's concert series in 1919).
The 7:30 p.m. concert is part of Tuesday Musical’s 2022-23 Akron Concert Series.
