This Disney classic has been brought to the musical stage by Cameron MacIntosh, and features all the favorite characters from the Disney motion picture. In the CenterStage production, ZFX Flying is producing the flying segments. There is a cast of 33, a 25 piece live, orchestra, and a 35 member stage crew. David Banks, now in his 20th year putting on shows at Walsh Jesuit, directs the show. “With stunning costumes, beautiful choreography, imaginative sets, and a wonderful score, this show promises to be one of the most memorable shoes CenterStage has ever done!” he stated. Serving as Technical Director is Vincent Matia, with assistance from Gary Rybka. Kimberly Raines Colton once again has choreographed the show. Costumes are by Cherie Banks Meyers. The show is put on through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. The CenterStage production has been selected once again for adjudication by the Dazzle Awards, sponsored by Playhouse Square. The Dazzle Awards are a high school version of the TONY awards.
Cast as Mary Poppins is the 2019 Dazzle Best Actress Winner Margo Tipping of Fairlawn and Katie Gordon from Peninsula. Cast as Bert is the 2019 Dazzle Best Actor Finalist Charlie Kadair from Akron. The roles of George Banks is played by Dominic Mazullo from Richfield, and Winifred Banks is played by Tessa D’Errrico from Medina and Gracie Kulawiak from Aurora. The role of Michael Banks will be performed by Aidan Brueck and Chase Oberhaus. The role of Jane Banks will be played by Julia Rizzo of Cuyahoga Falls and Sarah Lekan from Hinckley.
