Kelly and Derek Glover will speak about the FREE inaugural Kid's Fest to be held all day June 15 at Lock 3 Park in downtown Akron, presented by the Akron Children's Museum, which will include HUMAN FOOSBALL • CHESS TOURNAMENTS DANCING AROUND THE WORLD • NINJA RUNS ROBOTICS • ART SHOWS • SLAM DUNKS E-SPORTS • COOKING WITH CULINARY EXPERTS AND SO MUCH MORE.
While a team in parenting their two active children and tackling renovation projects at their home in Wadsworth, KidsFest is the first community benefit project Kelly and Derek as a duo. By day, Kelly represents Sikich, an accounting and technology firm, in business development. Kelly is immediate past president of the Emerging Leaders Board at Akron Children’s Hospital and is active on the United Way of Summit County new business committee. She is a former board member of Torchbearers Akron, Legacy III and The University of Akron National Alumni Board. Derek is a Union Journeyman Commercial Electrician with Four Star Electric, finisher of 3 marathons, a woodworking enthusiast, and a veteran of The United States Marine Corps.
The evening hosted by the Kiwanis Club of West Akron begins with a ten dollar buffet dinner and is open to the public in the Stonebridge Grill Room at Ohio Living Rockynol, 1150 West Market Street, Akron.
