Introduction to Intellectual Property: Trademarks

Learn about trademarks and how to protect your creative work with USPTO-trained library staff. Register to receive a Zoom link.

Akron-Summit County Public Library was named a Patent & Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) in 1995. PTRCs are a nationwide network of public, academic and special libraries spread throughout the United States. We offer access to resources from the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) in a variety of formats, including instructional classes, books, databases and handouts

In this class, our USPTO-trained librarians will help you learn how to protect your creative work through trademarks. You will learn the basics of trademarks, what they are, how to get one, and cost involved.

This is a free, virtual program taking place via Zoom. A Zoom link and instructions will be emailed to all registrants the week of the program.
