The Cuyahoga River - Our 50 Year Struggle for Clean Water
The Cuyahoga River and its recovery from infamy is a tale packed with drama and battles, with ignorance and science, with losses and victories.
Elaine Marsh, watershed specialist with the Summit Metro Parks, leads a visual presentation on the conditions that led to a century of fires, the consequence of those fires and the river’s remarkable recovery from them. She will also discuss the benefits of clean water to northeast Ohio and the river’s role in region’s future.
Light refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Goodyear Branch Library.
Registration begins on Tuesday, July 23.
