On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 7-8:30pm, First Congregational Church of Akron will host a virtual event, Backyard Conservation and the 50% Project, featuring
guest speaker Robert Curtis
Famed Conservationist E.O. Wilson has proposed conserving 50% of the planet’s surface to avoid a cataclysmic extinction event, as well as to protect the ecosystem services that give us clean air to breath and clean water to drink. At the present time, only 13% of Summit County is protected by parks and conservation easements. Come and learn what you can do in your own backyard to help Save Planet Earth!
This event on Zoom is free and open to the public. To register to attend, please visit https://bit.ly/Climate-10-27
