An Evening with Jennifer Chiaverini

New York Times bestselling author of the Elm Creek Quilts Series Jennifer Chiaverini, returns the Hudson Library to discuss her novel, Resistance Women. The book is based on the true story of Mildred Fish Harnack and her circle of women friends who waged a clandestine battle against Hitler in Nazi Berlin. Publishers Weekly called the book, “exceptionally insightful, making for a sweeping and memorable WWII novel.”

Chiaverini is the New York Times bestselling author of Fates and TraitorsMrs. Lincoln’s DressmakerMrs. Lincoln’s Rival, the SpymistressMrs. Grant and Madame Jule and other acclaimed historical novels. She also wrote the beloved Elm Creek Quilts series, as well as six collections of quilt patterns inspired by her books. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago, she lives with her husband and two sons in Madison, Wisconsin.
