Summa Barberton Hospital will host the free Diabetes C.A.R.E. Lecture series for 2009. The final 2009 lecture will be on Tuesday, November 10 with Jon Oliverio, DPM, who will speak on "Diabetes and Foot Care: A Case Study." Dr. Oliverio, hospital staff podiatrist, will share why foot care is important for people with diabetes. He will discuss case studies on how foot wounds healed when patients sought proper treatment and the results when treatment was delayed.
Lectures will be held at the hospital beginning at 7:00 pm in Parkview Center Lobby. Summa Barberton Hospital is located at 155 5th Street, NE, Barberton, OH 44203. Parking is free.
