Akron, OH (June 29, 2008) – Local stars will shine, shimmer and shimmy the evening of Friday, August 15, 2008 as the Akron Urban League presents as its annual fundraiser – An Evening: Dancing with Stars! This elegant, high-energy evening will feature a high-stakes, hot-lights, dance competition among local celebrity teams followed by an open dance floor for guests to enjoy. Lavish hors d’ oeuvres and desserts will carry guests through the evening and into a night of sensational fun.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Akron Urban League President’s Hall at 440 Vernon Odom Blvd. Ticket price is $75 per person. Akron Urban League fundraisers are truly celebrations of the cross- socio, economic and racial support of the work of the agency to bring about change in the urban community.
