Description:
|
Celebrating the Akron-Summit County Public Library as an unparalleled source of life-enriching information, we present a monthly lecture series timed especially for the working person’s lunch hour. Each month features a different topic aimed to enlighten and enrich the working day and will focus on materials and collections found at the Library.
Tuesday, March 16 at 12:10 pm, Patrick Manning, branch manager from Nordonia Hills, will present Stephen King: More Than America's Boogeyman, covering King's works, adaptations, and influence on American pop culture. Love him or hate him, most readers have strong feelings and thoughts about this author, and gage their reading tastes accordingly.
Those who avoid Mr. King’s books may gain a better insight into his works, and find these more approachable. New readers can pick up ideas on where to begin with King’s works. And King fans may learn something about the author they didn’t know before.
Please join in the conversation!
No need to sign up or register. Bring a sack lunch and your curiosity to Meeting Room 1 on Main Library’s High Street level.
