Superintendent David W. James will discuss the state of Akron Public Schools at the Akron Press Club’s luncheon on Wednesday, February 22.
The event will be held at The University of Akron’s Martin Center, 105 Fir Hill. A buffet luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m., and the program will follow.
James will discuss the district’s progress on objectives, including the goals of providing a high-quality education in safe schools while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The event is open to the public and will include a question-and-answer session.
The luncheon and program costs $15 for Press Club members and $20 for non-members. Reserve a seat by calling 330.564.4211 or e-mailing RSVP@cmoresearch.com. The reservation deadline is noon on Monday, February 20.
