Summa Barberton Hospital will host free Stop Smoking classes. This series of classes is for people who want to quit smoking and need some support and motivation.
The series begins on Thursday, September 2 with the topic, "Thinking About Quitting: the Decision Process." The series continues each Thursday through the month of September with various topics to assist you in quitting smoking.
Meetings will be held at the hospital beginning at 6 p.m. in Conference Rooms B&C, located on the ground floor of Summa Barberton Hospital. Summa Barberton Hospital is located at 155 Fifth Street NE, Barberton, OH 44203.
Registration is preferred but not required for this program. To register, please call (330) 861-7179. This program is funded by the Barberton Health Department and provided in coordination with the Summit County Tobacco prevention Coalition and Summa Health System. Classes are taught by a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Reduced-cost nicotine replacment and prescription medication vouchers are available with class attendance.
