If you are an employee in healthcare food service, particularly in long-term care facilities and hospital food service operations, correctional facilities, public schools and other institutional settings offering patient care, you can advance on your career path with certification as a Dietary Manager. The four focus areas of the program are food systems management, safety and sanitation, human resource management, and nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. Successful completion of this course permits you to take the Certified Dietary Manager exam, become a member of the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals, ANFP (formerly the Dietary Managers Association, DMA), receive the National Restaurant Association ServSafe® Food Safety Certification, and receive the Ohio Department of Health Certification in Food Protection. Registrants must be high school graduates or equivalent. Books and materials included. Dietary Manager exam fee not included. You will take the ServSafe® exam during class. No class Nov. 23, 30, Dec. 28, and Jan. 4.
